Group trip to Mullen's Beach
Our latest LSY retreat was in Barbados. A group of 16 of us traveled to the beautiful and very surfable south tip of the island. Ralph de la Rosa provided the goodies in the meditation department, giving us so many different meditations that every day felt like a meditation workshop! For the yoga, I worked off the themes he presented to put together juicy vinyasa/restorative flows to soothe our over-surfed shoulders and sunburnt skin.

The entire group surfed at least once, and most of us surfed every day, taking full advantage of the superb instruction we got from the folks at Zed’s. Every single one of us got personalized instruction that was perfect for everyone’s level of surfing. I caught some of the biggest waves of my life!
We also did a group trip to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to, Mullen's Beach. The water was crystal clear, refreshingly cool, and almost empty. We had an amazing time.
We enjoyed delicious, organic food and fresh fish from the chefs at Ocean Spray, the sister beachfront location where some of us stayed at and where we practiced yoga daily. We even visited the owner’s farm in one of the highest points of the island and enjoyed looking at the island from the middle of the jungle.

Every morning, we loaded the trucks to go surf with the wonderful folks from Zed's Surfing. We surfed crystal clear, refreshingly cool waters along turtles and colorful fish.
