We are so stoked to be going to Hawaii in October! After an epic 2016 Winter/Spring season, we kick off the 2016-2017 season with a Surf, Yoga and Meditation retreat at Pipeline, Oahu. After doing our research, here are some of the things we are the most excited about:
1. The Hiking
In addition to yoga and meditation, we here at LSY love hiking! It is a meditative activity and can be done alone or in a group setting. We are looking forward to hiking Kahana Bay to get a little glimpse of this view (below) which is about a 20 minute drive away from where we are staying.

2. The Sunsets
Hawaii is known for the most epic sunsets. Here is a picture that Paula Reyes, the retreat co-leader and local, sent us the other day of just another sunset in the North Shore, right in her front yard.
3. The Surfing
How can we not be excited to surf at the place where surfing was born? We are looking forward to seeing the professionals surf Pipeline. We are not sure where we will be surfing; It all depends on where our surf school decides to take us.
4. The Food
The island of Oahu is full of organic farms and delicious, fresh fish. We are including local, organic produce from the folks at Waihena Farms, since we are staying at their premises! Our breakfast and dinners will all be sourced from local ingredients, and will consist of ingredients that are in season to ensure a delicious culinary experience. We also plan on stocking up on local coffee, like coffee from this farm we plan to visit as soon as we arrive.
5. The Adventures
Skydiving, sailing, helicopter rides, swimming with sharks, renting 4-wheelers, getting lost around the island, snorkeling, camping. We can't wait to get adventurous! I am particularly excited for diving with sharks! We will also schedule a day trip on a catamaran to go snorkeling, and so excited to go camping after the retreat with my boyfriend. Might as well take advantage! since we are traveling all the way from NYC.
